We have one of my favorite episodes here by bill in the F-14 build, which is a lot of weathering techniques, first up is using Vallejo weathering wash to fill in all your recessed areas, followed by a single colour fading with oils to nock back all them bright decals as well as a multi colour blending on big areas like the wing to give them flatter less detailed areas some weathering.
